Dropped a wad on a collection of Fat Possum Records albums. They’re having a $10 sale until the end of the month which means
the albums cost still way more than ripping them off from the internet costs,
but these are the only guys recording the dying Mississippi Blues men. I’ll
hand them a bunch of money for the service.
Here’s what I bought:
| She Ain’t None of Your’n |
T-Model Ford |
| Pee-Wee Get My Gun |
T-Model Ford |
| Bad Man |
T-Model Ford |
| You Better Keep Still |
T-Model Ford |
| Wish I Was In Heaven Sitting Down |
R.L. Burnside |
| Come On In |
R.L. Burnside |
| Too Bad Jim |
R.L. Burnside |
| A Bothered Mind |
R.L. Burnside |
| Meet Me in the City |
Junior Kimbrough |
| God Knows I Tried |
Junior Kimbrough |
| You Better Run |
Junior Kimbrough |
| Most Things Haven’t Worked Out |
Junior Kimbrough |
| Sad Days Lonely Nights |
Junior Kimbrough |

| Pucker Up Buttercup |
Paul ‘Wine’ Jones |

Cedell Davis |
| Feel Like Doin’ Something Wrong |
Cedell Davis |
| Thickfreakness |
The Black Keys |
I can’t wait for Junio Kimbrough’s
albums since I’ve been obsessed with some of his songs covered by The Black Keys.
I also think it’s fucking insane that Cedell Davis
is wheel chair bound and only has one working hand so he plays with slide
guitar with a butter knife. Yes, a butter knife. I love that man already.
I’ll do up some reviews of these as I listen and see if I can pick up some
of the songs. The other arists on the list are:
- R.L. Burnside most famous for doing the Soprano’s opening song.
- Paul ‘Wine’ Jones reviews of his two albums were good so I picked him up.
- T-Model Ford who actually killed a man once, served time in prison and said, “Prison made T-Model a good man.”
