I just put the finishing touches on the last few features I wanted for fretwar.com and now I’m looking for people to come play and give me feedback on it. Even if you don’t play guitar you can still come and participate as a listener.
The site works pretty well and is stable. It also has most of the features I want, but still needs to be tightened up and cleaned more. It’s had about 20 players with 10 active, and has about 120 registered users.
In general though, myself and the other guys playing have been having fun, and I’m itching to quit coding it so much and get to actually playing the thing, doing the show, and writing for it.
If you want to come play, come on. Round 6 is “Locusts of Locrian” where you try to do a piece of music that uses the Locrian mode or Super Locrian scale.
You can hit the winnars page to see who’s been kicking ass so far, and you can even go check out past rounds.
If you can’t play but still want to participate, just sign up and you can comment on how you like the music. You can also post pics of your gear (because guitarists love gear).
Pretty soon I’ll have better tools for the players, and I’ll be streaming everything that’s been submitted so far using icecast (even though it’s a royal piece of shit).
Alright folks, have fun.
